Allegiant Air Plans Huge Expansion in 2025, Adding 44 New Routes and Three New Cities
Allegiant Air, a prominent airline based in Las Vegas and known for its integrated travel services, is set to undergo one of its most significant expansions since its inception 27 years ago. In 2025, the airline will introduce 44 new nonstop routes and include three additional city destinations. This expansion will be supported by the acquisition of new aircraft and an increase in staffing, ensuring that Allegiant continues to serve its growing customer base effectively.
The new city airports that will be part of Allegiant’s route network include Gulf Shores Airport (GUF) in Alabama, Colorado Springs Airport (COS) in Colorado, and Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE) in South Carolina. These locations were strategically chosen to tap into increasing leisure travel demands in these regions. To celebrate the launch of these new routes, Allegiant is offering promotional one-way fares starting at $39.
Service to these new destinations will commence in February 2025. By expanding its network to now include a total of 51 cities across the United States, Allegiant reinforces its mission to connect more people to leisure destinations economically. Drew Wells, the Chief Commercial Officer of Allegiant, emphasized the airline’s commitment to affordability and convenience, which he believes are the cornerstones of their service appeal. Allegiant aims to facilitate travel plans, whether it’s for visiting family, vacationing, or exploring new cities.
In addition to serving new cities, Allegiant is also increasing flights from several existing bases. These enhancements include increased service from:
- Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) in Arizona
- Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport (CHA) in Tennessee
- Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) in Florida
- Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) in Florida
- Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) in South Carolina
- Gerald R. Ford International Airport (GRR) in Michigan
- Nashville International Airport (BNA) in Tennessee
- Boston-Logan International Airport (BOS) in Massachusetts
- Denver International Airport (DEN) in Colorado
- Des Moines International Airport (DSM) in Iowa
- Portland International Airport (PDX) in Oregon
- Dulles International Airport (IAD) in Virginia
- Akron-Canton Airport (CAK) in Ohio
- Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) in New Jersey

Allegiant Air’s fleet expansion includes the addition of new aircraft models. Currently, Allegiant operates a diverse fleet of 130 aircraft, consisting of 35 Airbus A319s, 94 A320s, and one Boeing 737 MAX 8-200. Additionally, the airline has placed orders for 25 more Boeing 737 MAX 8-200s and 24 Boeing 737 MAX 7s, which are scheduled for delivery in the upcoming years. This strategic increase in fleet capacity is aimed at accommodating the anticipated increase in passenger volume resulting from the new routes.
