Introduction to the New Centurion Lounge

American Express has recently inaugurated its most expansive and luxurious Centurion Lounge to date, located at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), on February 14, 2024. This event marks a significant milestone for American Express, offering an unparalleled experience to its distinguished cardholders. The lounge, known for its sophisticated offerings and amenities, spans an impressive 26,000 square feet, setting a new standard for luxury in airport lounges.

Exclusive Features and Amenities

The new Centurion Lounge at ATL is equipped with a variety of exclusive features designed to cater to the needs and preferences of its visitors. Among these is The Reserve by American Express, a whiskey bar offering a curated selection of 20 classic and new American whiskeys alongside signature cocktails crafted by the award-winning mixologist, Jim Meehan. Additionally, the lounge boasts a food station with an array of dining options, including gluten-free and vegan choices, to ensure every guest finds something to their taste. The menu, created by Atlanta-based Chef Deborah VanTrece, features locally inspired dishes such as Black Eyed Pea Biryani, Za’atar Grilled Chicken Thighs with Green Tomato Chimichurri, and Twisted Soul Salad with Strawberry Peppercorn Vinaigrette.

Furthermore, the lounge’s design reflects Atlanta’s moniker as the ‘city in the forest,’ incorporating natural elements like a 50-year-old olive tree and a custom light sculpture that mimics a forest canopy. This commitment to blending luxury with nature offers guests a unique and soothing environment.

Exclusivity and Accessibility

Access to the Centurion Lounge is a privilege reserved for American Express’ most esteemed cardholders. The lounge features three outdoor terraces, with one exclusively available to Centurion Cardmembers. These spaces provide serene views of the airport’s bustling activity, allowing guests to relax before their flights. The Centurion Lounge also accommodates business travelers with dedicated workstations and phone booths, premium restrooms with shower suites, and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, ensuring productivity is maintained even on the go.

Located in Concourse E near gate E11, the Centurion Lounge operates daily from 6 am to 11 pm, offering a sanctuary for travelers amidst the world’s busiest airport. ATL’s historical significance as the first airport to serve over 100 million passengers in a single year further elevates the prestige of hosting the largest Centurion Lounge.
