Emirates Group and Dubai Airport Celebrate Emirati Women
In honor of Emirati Women’s Day 2024, the Emirates Group together with Dubai Airport (DXB) are spotlighting the outstanding contributions of Emirati women in the aviation sector. These organizations highlight the increasing role women play in this dynamic field, where they represent approximately 38% of the Emirates Group’s workforce. Over the last financial year, the group has seen a record enrollment of Emirati women, signaling a progressive shift towards greater gender diversity within the industry.
For over two decades, Emirates has been at the forefront of supporting Emirati women through extensive mentorship and training initiatives. These programs are designed to accelerate professional development and open up pathways to leadership roles. Collaborations with industry giants such as Rolls-Royce, Airbus, and GE Aviation have equipped over 70 Emirati women with advanced skills in the past 12 months alone. Furthermore, in a significant step towards fostering educational growth, Emirates sponsored three talented Emirati female employees in 2023 to pursue postgraduate studies at globally top-ranked universities.
Dubai Airports’ Champions of Sustainability
Dubai Airports, the operator of DXB, is recognizing the instrumental roles played by three Emirati women in achieving the airport’s sustainability objectives. These women have not only contributed to operational efficiencies but have also steered significant environmental initiatives.

Sara’s efforts in mobilizing the airport community towards a shared vision of sustainability exemplify her commitment to creating a collaborative future that benefits all stakeholders.
