Wizz Air has proudly announced the arrival of its newest Airbus A321neo, marking a significant milestone as the 200th aircraft within its growing fleet. This state-of-the-art aircraft embarked on its maiden journey from Hamburg-Finkenwerder Airport (XFW) to London-Luton Airport (LTN) in early February 2024, symbolizing a new chapter in Wizz Air’s ambitious expansion plans. The Airbus A321neo, boasting an impressive valuation of over £100 million, is earmarked to be stationed at Wizz Air’s strategic hub at LTN, underscoring the airline’s commitment to bolstering its presence in the United Kingdom.
Following its inaugural flight to Bacău, Romania, the aircraft has seamlessly integrated into Wizz Air’s operations, servicing routes across Europe including destinations such as Istanbul, Belgrave, and Lisbon. With the addition of this aircraft, Wizz Air aims to enhance its connectivity from London-Luton, offering flights to 59 destinations, including newly announced routes to Salzburg, Austria, and Cairo, Egypt.
